Saadian tombs, marrakech, Morocco

The tombs were built by Ahmad al-Mansur in the late 16th century, but when Moulay Ismail came to power a century later he had the entrances sealed, and they remained so until 1917. Now visitors can see what was hidden for so long: two stunning mausoleums housing more than 60 royal tombs, with intricate carvings and beautiful mosaic tiles.
