Yangtze river cruise, China

Also known as Chang Jiang (Long River), the Yangtze flows 3,910 miles (6,300 km) from the Tibetan Plateau to the East China Sea, passing ancient temples, remote villages, and the controversial Three Gorges Dam, soon to be the world’s largest hydroelectric power plant. At Qutang Gorge, the shortest of the Three Gorges, low mist hangs eerily over triangular peaks.
