Elephants douse themselves on the riverbank as your canoe cuts silently through the water. This kind of close encounter is common on a river safari, with hippos and buffalos gathering around the region’s lifeblood, and crocodiles occasionally slinking by. The largest concentration of game is found on the Lower Zambezi.
