In the hills behind Cannes lies a small farm where the Impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir spent the last 11 years of his life. Setting up his easel in its lovely ancient olive grove, he painted right to the end, his brushes strapped to his arthritic fingers.
The original furniture is preserved in the house together with sculptures, paintings, and memorabilia.
