For 30 years the wealthy American art collector Peggy Guggenheim lived in the fabulous Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on Venice’s Grand Canal.
A visit to the gallery established here after her death is worth it as much for the opportunity to step inside this intimate palace as to admire the 20th-century art she collected. The sculpture garden is especially delightful.
