Al-Mamzar Beach is more than just a succession of beautiful, curving, white sandy beaches, it is also a park and recreational area that covers over 247 acres (100 ha) on a small headland to the north of central Dubai.

Opened in 1994, the parklands include beaches, swimming pools, a stunning amphitheater, picnic areas, barbecue facilities, and children’s playgrounds, set amongst acres of lush green lawn, palms, coconuts and other trees.

The five beaches together make up the longest beach area along the coast of Dubai and there is always a lifeguard on duty on at least one. Al-Mamzar Beach and Park is open daily but Wednesdays are for women and children only

Practical Information

Getting There and Around Dubai is the international flight hub of the UAE, and its airport is just 2.5 miles (4 km) from both the city center and the Al- Mamzar Beach and Park. The easiest way of getting around Dubai is by taxi, with non-metered ones offering negotiable, often cheaper, rates.

When to Go Since summer maximum temperatures can reach unbearable extremes, the period from late fall to early spring (Oct–Apr) is the best time to visit.
